Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These terms cover your use of the YouShouldLeave iOS app ("YSL"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
What YSL does
YSL estimates when you should leave for a destination using live traffic data, and notifies you via lock screen and push notification. Estimates depend on third-party mapping data and device conditions, and are provided as a convenience — not a guarantee of arrival time.
Your responsibility
- You're responsible for how and when you actually leave — YSL is a reminder tool, not a substitute for your own judgment about travel time or safety.
- Don't interact with the app while driving.
- You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the app (typically 13 or older, subject to your local laws).
Subscriptions
YSL includes a limited number of free reminders. Continued use beyond that requires a subscription, billed through your Apple ID via the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and can be managed in your device's App Store settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.
No warranty
YSL is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for missed departures, traffic estimate errors, or third-party API outages (including Google Maps/Places/Directions or Apple push delivery).
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
